Porter’s Dining and Butcher is an upscale, inviting eatery located in the George Hotel complex featuring Executive Chef Bill Greenwood’s masterfully prepared American cuisine and excellent service led by seasoned General Manager Charles “Chuck” Criswell.

The interior design and menu are rich with southern influences, incorporating oak, mesquite, and hickory woods. A standout feature is a mesquite butcher block wall with buried meat cleavers, which also serve as the eatery’s logo. The restaurant is organized with an open kitchen, walk-up butchery, bar, main dining areas, and private rooms. Every detail, from charred wood walls to custom-designed light fixtures, speaks to the culinary process.

Custom elements like glass walls and 3D printed cattle tagging art panels add a unique touch. The dining tables are branded with a cleaver logo, paying homage to cattle branding. Porter’s embraces the heritage of Brazos Country and College Station’s agricultural legacy while maintaining a fresh, modern approach. This imaginative eatery embodies the true Texan spirit.
